Which fuel economy units does this show?
It shows km per litre, US miles per gallon, UK miles per gallon, and litres per 100 km, all worked out from the single trip you enter.
Why do US and UK mpg differ?
A UK gallon is larger than a US gallon, about 4.546 versus 3.785 litres, so the same economy is a higher number in UK mpg.
How is this different from the gas mileage tool?
The gas mileage tool is mpg-first for US miles and gallons. This tool lets you input metric or US units and returns all four economy units at once.
What does L per 100 km mean?
It is the litres of fuel used to travel 100 km. Unlike mpg, a lower litres per 100 km number means a more efficient vehicle.
